David O'Connor '96, '12
Dave is currently Manager of Business Development with Fresenius Medical Care, where he negotiates dialysis Hospital Contracts with C-Level professionals, nephrologists and oversees marketing and business growth for 43 dialysis clinics. He has over 15 years of consultative sales & marketing experience in the Financial and biopharmaceutical industry where he has won numerous awards.
Dave is a leader in the Irish community, serving as VP of the Norman O’Brien AOH division, an active member of the United Irish Societies (UIS) and Founder and President of the Michigan Irish American Chamber of Commerce (MIACC). Dave has also accepted an appointment to serve on the Council of Ethnic Chambers with several other ethnic business and chamber leaders attracting economic development in Southeastern Michigan across the globe. As part of the Council appointment, Dave mentors executives through Tejara Global Business Center which is an incubation and accelerator center for businesses.
Dave resides in Beverly Hills, MI with his spouse Amy (who is an NMU graduate) of 17 years and children David, Ben and Ashley, where they are active parishioners at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs church and elementary school. Dave earned his BS in psychology and biology from Northern Michigan University in 1996 and was appointed to a six year term on the alumni board of directors in 2013. Dave earned his MBA from California Lutheran University in 2012.
