View from the 6th floor!
A mix of sun and rain has blessed the area to keep everything green and fresh. However, this has also created the perfect environment for mosquitos. Bug season has been the topic of many locals and visitors alike.
The Alumni Relations office has a new view from the 6th floor. We have moved down the hall to 607 Cohodas Hall, take a right out of the elevator. Make sure to stop by and say hello.
Both Helen and Dr. William H. Nault graduated from NMU, in 1948 and 1947, respectively. Over the years they have continued to be friends and supporters of the university and its students. Dr. Nault, who dedicated his professional and civic life to furthering excellence in education at all levels, was a teacher, administrator, professor and, ultimately, the president of World Book, Inc. in Chicago. In 1978, NMU recognized Dr. Nault’s contributions to the field of education by recognizing him with a Distinguished Alumni award in 1978.
To honor his memory, Helen, recently endowed the Dr. William H. Nault Education Scholarship to provide financial support for Upper Peninsula students studying in the field of education. Dr. Nault’s son, Peter, and daughter-in-law, Jaqueline, made an additional gift that essentially doubled the endowment. The scholarship was also contributed to by his other son, William Nault, II.
We thank the Nault family for their gifts and for providing vital financial opportunities for students from the region.Top of Page

NMU App gets update
The iOS app NMU Mobile recently added features that will help NMU alumni and friends stay connected. Two features added information from both the Alumni Association and Athletics. Within the Alumni feature, you can request help finding old classmates, update your address, support NMU and see a listing of events. The Alumni feature also gives alumni a direct link to the Alumni Association and has our contact information embedded right in the app. Now Wildcat athletic scores are right at your fingertips. The athletics app feature lists all varsity sport scores along with access to schedules, stats, team rosters and even coach bios.
