View from the 6th floor!
Overcast skies and a chance of precipitation, both rain and snow, are the forecast for NMU and surrounding area over the next few days. Recent flooding has shut down roads and affected many area residents with the expected spring warm up.
The Alumni Relations office has a new view from the 6th floor. We have moved down the hall to 607 Cohodas Hall, take a right out of the elevator. Make sure to stop by and say hello.Alumni Artists contribute as part of John Hubbard: Looking Back Exhibition
Professor John Hubbard has been teaching in the Art and Design Department at NMU for over forty years. Known throughout the region as a prolific oil painter, capturing the natural light and rugged outdoors of the upper Midwest, he is an accomplished printmaker and papermaker who specializes in lithography and intaglio. “Looking Back,” an exhibition running through July 7, 2013 at the DeVos Art Museum on NMU’s campus, celebrates Hubbard’s career through a retrospective of paintings, drawings and more.
Professor Hubbard’s impact on the Art and Design program is profound, having taught and mentored hundreds of students over the four decades he has been at NMU. As a testament to his influence, the exhibit includes artwork made by NMU alumni who took his courses.
