View from the 6th floor!
Lake effect snow has welcomed spring into the area for the past few days, to the delight of some and dismay of others.
The Alumni Relations office has a new view from the 6th floor. We have moved down the hall to 607 Cohodas Hall, take a right out of the elevator. Make sure to stop by and say hello.

If you know a veteran who is currently pursuing or will be seeking a college degree, please help us make sure they know about the NMU Veterans Scholarship.
The scholarship guarantees in-state tuition for all eligible U.S. military veterans who want to earn a college degree. The NMU Veterans Scholarship covers any tuition costs beyond NMU’s in-state rate that are not addressed by veteran’s benefits and NMU’s participation in the federal Yellow Ribbon program.
“NMU has already gained national recognition for its efforts to accommodate veterans as they transition from military service to higher education,” said Jason Allen, senior deputy director for the State of Michigan’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. “This scholarship builds on that foundation by helping those whose college costs exceed their calculated federal benefits. We are happy to see NMU take this important step toward making college more accessible and affordable for all veterans.”
So please, reach out to your friends and family who are veterans to let them know about this important opportunity. It’s the Wildcat way of letting them know how much we value their service.
The NMU Veterans Scholarship is available to individuals with an honorable discharge. Documentation is required to receive in-state tuition. For more information on the scholarship, call the NMU financial aid office at 227-2327 or visit www.nmu.edu/veterans.

Thanks to all of you who have visited the Alumni Office while on campus. Whenever you’re in town, please drop by 607 Cohodas Hall to say hello. (You don’t have to be visiting - for those of you who live in Marquette, we want to see you too! Please stop in.) If you can’t get to campus but you’re off exploring the world, be sure to send us a photo of you wearing your favorite Wildcat gear so we can share it with other alumni.
