Staying Wild: Wildcats for Life

Wildcats for Life is a new student organization here on campus that plans programs and events that foster a relationship between NMU students and alumni, and celebrates the pride we all have as NMU Wildcats.  Members of Wildcats for Life believe meeting and building connections with alumni give students the opportunity to excel during school and after graduation.

The group is planning two exciting programs that alumni can take part in:

How I became President of NMU with my NMU degree

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

6:30 p.m., Marquette/Nicolet Rooms, University Center

The kickoff to the Wildcats for Life “How I became____ with my NMU degree” series features NMU Graduate and NMU President David Haynes.  All alumni are invited to join with students to hear about President Haynes’ experience as an NMU student, how he got into the field of higher education and public affairs, and how his career path led him to become President of NMU.

Don’t End Up Living in Your Parents’ Basement  A Speed Networking Event

Wednesday, November 7

6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Superior and Ontario Rooms, University Center

This speed networking event is an opportunity for NMU students to network with alumni and hear more about individual career paths, words of wisdom and advice, as well as practice their networking skills.  The Alumni office is assisting Wildcats for Life in identifying alumni who would like to come back to campus and be a part of this event.  If you would like to be involved, please send us an e-mail.

If you are interested in learning more about Wildcats for Life and hearing about future events, you can “like” them on Facebook or send them an e-mail.
