Jim is President of the NMU Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is employed by American Fiber Services of Smyrna, GA and based in Appleton.

Jim graduated from Northern in 1981 with a BS in Business Administration with a Marketing major. In 1982, he returned to NMU and served as a graduate assistant in the Department of Management and Marketing, earning his MBA in 1984. In 1984, he joined Kimberly-Clark Corporation becoming a Certified Purchasing Manager in 1988 and for 20 years served in various roles in both Procurement and Sales at both the Corporate and various operating locations. In 2004, he joined American Fiber Services to support the growth of the newly formed company. Jim has been a member of the NMU Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2005.
