G.I Jobs magazine rates NMU in the top 15% of all colleges, universities, and trade schools nationwide in military friendliness.
NMU has also recently partnered with DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support) and lists all of our on-line course offerings in the (DANTES) Independent Study Guide.
The 2011/2012 school year also sees NMU join the Yellow Ribbon Program which helps to supplement the Post 9/11 GI Bill

What is life like after NMU? Northern alum Danielle Hernandez graduated May 2010 with a B.S. in Biology and Integrated Science and a minor in Chemistry. She is currently attending Mayo Graduate School to pursue her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. She's writing about her times and experiences at NMU. Current post.
