Special events and festivals take place throughout the year. Don't miss the UP 200 Sled Dog Championship every February. Traditional music fans will love the Pine Mountain Music Festival and the Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival. Art on the Rocks features over 162 fabulous artists at Presque Isle Park every summer.

Cultural events — In the summer the Lake Superior Theater offers several theater productions worth checking out. There is also the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, WinterFest, art exhibits and other local arts and culture events.

Enjoy skiing? Marquette Mountain isn't the Rockies, but the fun is the same and it's within the city limits! Snowboarders and Alpine skiers use Marquette Mountain from November until late March.
