Director, Orientation

Lina is originally from Quincy, Illinois and found NMU while her family lived in Battle Creek, MI. She came to NMU in the fall of 2001 and  graduated from Northern with a bachelor of science in psychology.  As an undergrad, Lina was involved with the Student Leader Fellowship Program, Halverson Hall Government, and First Impressions. She worked as a resident adviser in Gant Hall and was a summer orientation staff assistant. After graduating, Lina served as the resident director of Gant Hall; during this time, she earned a master of science in training and development.  Lina started with the Academic and Career Advisement Center in August 2008 working with the Academic Proficiency Program. She is now the Director of Orientation.

Outside of work, Lina enjoys fishing, spending time with friends and family, kayaking, camping, and hiking. She also loves traveling to concerts around the Midwest and riding around town on her scooter!
