Jim Gadzinski

 Jim is a graduate of NMU with a bachelor of  science in water science and a master of arts in education in counseling and guidance. He began his career at NMU in 1981 as a resident director, moved on to work as a coordinator of residential life at  South Dakota State University in 1985 and returned to NMU in 1990 to become the assistant dean of students and director of orientation. Jim served in that role until he was appointed to the temporary position of associate director of Admissions and director of orientation from 1994 to 1997. He assumed his current position with the Academic and Career Advisement Center in May of 1997.

Jim and his wife, Terri, spend their time with their two daughters, Katelyn, Kenna and son, Alec. They are both active in the Marquette community. Jim is originally from the Detroit area and enjoys sports, socializing with friends and introducing his children to classic movies and music.
