Katy joined the Academic and Career Advisement Center in January 2011.  She is responsible for career exploration and undeclared resources within the department.  Katy graduated from NMU with a Bachelor of Science in entertainment and sports promotion and a Master of Public Administration in public management.  While pursuing her master's degree, she was a graduate assistant in the Center for Student Enrichment.  She also completed a year-long internship reviewing multiple student services departments, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Dean of Students, and Career Services.

Upon completing her graduate program, Katy worked at Michigan Works! as a Career Counselor for two years before returning to NMU.  She is a mentor in the Student Leader Fellowship Program and a member of  the NMU Housing Appeals Committee.
