Hugo Eyzaguirre (Economics), pictured, was invited to give a presentation at a June 9 conference in Lima, Peru, at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. His presentation focused on a book he wrote on competition policies, which was published in March. The book is titled Las politicas de Competencia y su aplicacion. Fundamentos económicos. It emphasizes four areas: the defense of free competition, the repression of
unfair competition, consumer protection and oversight of advertising.
Kia Richmond (English) presented "Reflections and Transformations: Applications of Professional Development on the English Education Classroom" on June 17 as part of a panel titled "Recharging the Batteries: Personal Journeys to Classroom Transformations" at the Conference on English Education (CEE) summer convention at Fordham University Rose Hill in New York City.
