Amber Kinonen (English) published an article titled Au Train Songbird Trail in the November issue of Sirr Magazine. Her article narrated her experience at a songbird trail field trip for a nature writing course.

Russell Thorburn (English) published his poem, Watching the Three Stooges at Fifty, in the Hospital, in an issue of Prairie Schooner, which is a quarterly literary publication that prints fiction, poetry, essays and reviews. Thorburn also wrote a radio play, Happy Birthday James Joyce, which was broadcast three times on WNMU-FM and performed off-Broadway in New York. The play is a dramatic story about author James Joyce’s imagined 56th birthday in Paris, 1938.
