Provost Candidates to Visit

Four candidates for NMU provost will visit campus on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of next week. They are (in order of their scheduled visits): William McKinney, dean of the College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania; Martin Tadlock, dean of the College of Professional Studies and the School of Graduate Studies at Bemidji State University in Minnesota; Mark Workman, acting provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville; and Julia Wallace, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

The candidates will participate in a forum with the campus community on the respective days they visit. The forum will consist of a 15-minute presentation followed by a question-and-answer period. All are scheduled from 4-5 p.m. in the University Center. The location on Monday, Tuesday and Friday will be the Peter White Lounge. Wednesday's will be held in the Michigan Room.
