EO Office Seeks Input

NMU employees are encouraged to complete a brief, electronic survey that will help assess their awareness of the Equal Opportunity office and the services it provides – including its role in the hiring process. The survey is being conducted for the first time as part of the AQIP outcomes assessment plan. It will be available April 5-13 and has no connection to the recent Human Resources survey.

“We are seeking input that will help Northern fulfill its commitment to providing an environment free from sexual harassment and discrimination,” said Catherine Dehlin (Equal Opportunity). “It will only take about five minutes to complete and responses are entirely confidential. The results will be used to improve services that protect and promote civil rights throughout the university community.”

Because the EO office also serves students, Dehlin said an identical survey will be sent to a random sample of students. Employees should have received an e-mail today with a link to the survey. It is available at Equal Opportunity.
