Shirley Brozzo (Diversity Student Services) read from her MFA thesis in progress at the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts and Literature conference at Eastern Michigan University March 3-5. She read an excerpt from Chapter 2: Baby Girl.

Kia Jane Richmond (English) gave a presentation at an all-day "Assessing the Ineffable" workshop, which was sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English's Assembly for Expanded Perspectives on Learning. The workshop was held in conjunction with the annual Conference on College Composition and Communication, held in San Francisco March 16-20. Richmond's presentation was titled "Gestalt, Multiple Intelligences and Responding to/Assessing Student Work."
