Fair Season Begins Wednesday
The
Northern Michigan University JOBSearch Center is hosting three job
fairs this spring in the University Center. NMU faculty and staff
are encouraged to share this information with students who may be
interested.
The
Summer Employment Job Fair is from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 16,
in the Michigan/Ontario Rooms. This event is for students interested
in summer employment at the university and in the Marquette area.
On-campus and off-campus employers will be in attendance, including
the housing and residence life department; WNMU-TV/FM; B3 Computers
Inc.; Mackinac State Historic Parks; Wal-Mart; AFLAC; and Bay Cliff
Health Camp.
The
Nursing and Health Sciences Job Fair is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday,
March 24, in the Great Lakes Rooms. The fair provides an opportunity
for employers to meet with students and alumni to discuss current
and upcoming full-time, part-time, internship/co-op, and summer
employment possibilities in nursing, practical nursing, clinical
laboratory sciences, medical technology, surgical technology and
other related fields. More than a dozen health organizations will
be represented, including the Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette,
Wis.; the D. J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette; Marquette
General Health System; Saint Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay; and the
U.S. Army/Army Reserve.
The
Teacher Job Fair is from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the Great
Lakes Rooms. This provides an opportunity for NMU education graduates
and alumni to discuss employment possibilities with school and educational
organizations.
