Achievements

Jim Schiffer (English) is now president of the Michigan Association of Departments of English. The organization will have its annual meeting in April at Aquinas College.

John Smolens’ (English) novel, Fire Point, was selected #1 of the best books of the year for 2004 by Michigan authors in the Detroit Free Press.
