Upgrades
Coming to my.nmu.edu
The
Campus Pipeline portal, my.nmu.edu, will not be available on Friday,
Nov. 28. The portal is being upgraded and will have a modified look
when it comes back online Saturday morning. The new portal will
have channel capability that will allow students, faculty and staff
to personalize the information that is delivered to an individual’s
portal.
The
functionality of the portal will remain the same, but users will
notice some aesthetic changes. Most noticeable will be a different
set of tabs along the horizontal navigation bar. Depending on one’s
role or roles, the horizontal bar will include a “Faculty Services,”
an “Employee Services” and/or a “Student Services” tab. The “My
Classes” and “My Services” tabs will no longer appear. Functions
currently available through the two tabs will be found under the
“My Courses” and “Academic Services” links within the “Faculty Services”
and “Student Services” tabs.
“Adding
channel capability will allow a user the option of populating his
or her portal with a variety of personalized information,” said
Kevin Goethe (AdIT). “Training on how to
fully utilize the channel feature will be available in the future.
In the meantime, if users experience difficulties in migrating to
their new portal, they can visit the tutorial tab at my.nmu.edu
or contact the HelpDesk.”
