ACHIEVEMENTS

Peggy House (Mathematics and Computer Science) is the first recipient of the Outstanding Contributions to Mathematics Education Award from the Michigan Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM). The award is being initiated to honor an educator in the state who has made significant contributions to the mathematics field for a number of years. House will be honored at the opening session of the MCTM annual conference on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Robin Rahoi (Dining Services) and her staff at the NMU Starbucks recently received Starbucks' highest service honor, "5-Star Legendary Service," which is based on service, cleanliness, quality of product and speed of service.
