Registering for Graduation
May 2010 Graduation Registration Codes If you plan to graduate (vocational diploma, certificate, associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree) at the end of the semester, you must register for graduation so a final degree audit can be completed to verify your eligibility. Register just as you would for a class. The deadline for registering for May 2010 graduation is Thursday, January 14, 2010.
Note: A $25.00 graduation fee is assessed at the time of registration.

Don’t forget your cap and gown....
If you are participating in the graduation ceremony, please go to the textbook office in the NMU Bookstore to be measured for your cap and gown. Cap and gown orders must be placed by to be announced. A $5 late fee will be applied to all orders received after the deadline. Payment is due at the time of measurement. If you are borrowing a cap and gown, you must still order the tassel at the Bookstore. For questions, contact at 906-227-1129. Prices are as follows (tax not included):
Undergraduate Candidates
Cap, Gown and Tassel - $30.75
Additional Tassel - $5.00
Honor Cord - $6.00 (For graduates who qualify)
Master's Degree Candidates Cap, Gown, Hood & Tassel - $60.25
Tassel Only - $5.00Register After the Deadline? Students can apply for graduation after the deadline for the current semester only by filling out a Request to Add Graduation Form. After the form is turned in to the Registrar's Office, a final audit will be produced to see if the student qualifies for graduation. If so, the Registrar's Office staff will register the student for graduation.
