Dave Brubeck composed "Earth is Our Mother" under a Marquette Choral Society commission and came to Marquette to perform the world premiere in April of 1992. He is pictured here at a reception, along with Choral Society Director, Dr. Floyd Slotterback (seated left) and John Kiltinen (center), who was then the President of the Society.
