Evelyn Jean Bertucci to receive Marquette
Choral Society's Choral Leadership Award

The Marquette Choral Society is pleased to announce that Mrs. Evelyn Jean Bertucci will be awarded the 2004 Choral Leadership Award. The presentation of the award will be on Sunday, May 2nd, during the intermission of the Marquette Choral Society's spring concert. The concert will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral.

The Choral Leadership Award was launched in 1991 in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Marquette Choral Society. It honors individuals who have given at least ten years of service to choral music in the Upper Peninsula, and has demonstrated excellence in teaching, conducting, and/or support for quality choral music in the Upper Peninsula. A full write up of Mrs. Bertucci's contributions will appear in April, and be incorporated into the concert program.

Founded in 1971, the Marquette Choral Society is directed by Dr. Floyd Slotterback and is sponsored in part by Northern Michigan University. For more information, contact Dr. Slotterback at 906-227-2308.
