Saint Peter Cathedral
West Baraga Avenue
Marquette, Michigan

On April 17 and 18, 1999, the Marquette Choral Society presented a concert titled "Cathedral Sacred Sounds." It included a variety of sacred, polychoral and a capella selections, as well as music with organ accompaniment which took the listener through four centuries of development of the choral art from Palestrina to Stravinsky.

The venue was Saint Peter Cathedral on Baraga Avenue in Marquette. The acoustics of the cathedral are ideal for the repertoire performed, much of which was composed for just such a setting.
