Cohodas Hall
The tallest building on Northern’s campus, Cohodas Hall, houses many academic departments and administrative offices, as well as community outreach centers. These include:
Academic
- College of Business
- Economics, History, Philosophy and Political Science Departments
- Graduate Studies
- Academic Affairs
Administrative
- Office of the President
- Finance and Administration
Outreach
- Alumni Association
- Communications and Marketing
- Continuing Education
- NMU Foundation
- Northern Center for Lifelong Learning
It is hoped that Cohodas Hall will undergo a major renovation in the near future, which would create classroom space on the lower floors.
Several service departments formerly housed in Cohodas Hall are now located in C.B. Hedgcock, including admissions, financial aid, registration and scheduling, and the registrar’s office.
The building is named after Upper Peninsula banker and philanthropist Sam M. Cohodas.
